Why volunteer to support the work of Age Concern Cambridgeshire?
Our volunteers enable us to do the work we do and we value them highly. We are aware that volunteering is a two way process and we support our volunteers to get the most out of their opportunities with us. We also understand that people are looking for different levels of involvement and we try to accommodate different needs.
We are a major Cambridgeshire charity with a strong commitment to volunteer training and development as demonstrated by our Investors in People accreditation.
We believe that we establish a professional environment that supports and protects our staff, volunteers and clients while being a friendly and flexible place to be. All volunteers have the opportunity of regular support meetings and social events.
Volunteers expenses
All our volunteers are paid out of pocket expenses.
References and Criminal Records Bureau checks
We interview potential volunteers before making appointments and we do seek Criminal Records Bureau Enhanced Disclosure due to the nature of our work. Some roles require training before taking on any responsibilities
